Currie & Warner was established in 1855 in the centre of Birmingham during the Industrial Revolution.  Originally opened as a brass foundry, the company’s expertise rapidly developed from machining brass stampings and castings to the machining of brass rod.

The first multi-spindle machine Currie & Warner manufactured product on was in 1951.  The machine had an immediate impact, orders for more multi-spindle machines were forthcoming.

1955 saw the closure of the brass foundry in order to concentrate on manufacturing profitable turned components.

In 1965 the company was bought by the multi-national corporation BICC. Under BICC the focus was on manufacturing Electrical Cable Glands.

In 1982 the company's Managing Director (Mr Lloyd) bought the company from the BICC group.

Since 1982 Currie & Warner has made calculated acquisitions of similar engineering companies and set up the Currie & Warner Group.

During the last 60 years Currie & Warner has concentrated solely on machining brass rod using multi-spindle machinery. It is in this area that Currie & Warner now excel by focusing on medium to high volume production batches of components.
