Component Housings
Component housings surround mechanical components of a sensor, valve, regulator or other types of mechanical componentry. It provides mechanical support for the moving components, a mechanical protection from the outside world for those internal components, and a fluid-tight container to hold the lubricant that bathes those components. Component housings are usually semi-complex components with intricate detail to ensure inner componentry functions properly.
At Currie & Warner we supply customers components in mid to high volume production batches. We usually finish the component in one operation ensuring quality is maintained such as concentricity tolerances. When all the turning is done whilst the component is still on the bar, concentricity is much easier to hold. A lot of other suppliers have multiple operations and can have issues holding tight tolerances.
Glands
Glands as a whole are used to connect cables and wires to electrical instruments including lighting, telecoms and power. The gland's main function is to protect electrical enclosures and equipment by sealing and terminating a connection.
Currie & Warner have extensive knowledge around the supply and production of glands, Cable Glands and Termination glands have been part of our DNA for many years. We have customers that deal with many different certification bodies in this sector and have always assisted them when needed to help them achieve the certification they are aiming for.
