Control Valves

Control valve (CV) is a valve used to control fluid, pressure or temperature flow by varying the size of the flow passage in a closed loop system. Signals received from sensors send information to controllers which operate actuators. The actuators open and close the valve to compensate for a change to a 'set point'. This regulates the flow in order for the sensors 'set point' to return back within tolerance.

Currie & Warner manufactures many components for these type of valves and sensors. They require high precision components with high surface finishes. Commonly the housing of the valve is made from a precision casting which is machined. Currie & Warner's contribution is the turned components which are assembled inside the valves. Below you can see some of the control valve and sensor components we supply.
