CMM Measurements

Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM) are machines used to measure the physical characteristics of a component.

At Currie & Warner, we use the Aberlink Xtreme 360 CNC-controlled CMM. Since its installation it has vastly increased our measurement capabilities to accommodate our range of complex precision brass turned parts. It enables rapid in-process/final inspection of multiple dimensional and geometrical features. A measurement volume of 300mm x 300mm x 200mm (X, Y, and Z Axes) encapsulates all of Currie & Warner’s current products and provides futureproofing of our measurement capabilities to accuracies within 3µm. Uploading inspection reports in an Excel reporting format directly onto the Company’s server will provide instant access to SPC and historical measurement data which is critical to the majority of our customers.
